BaiAni Foundation Launches Information, Education, and Communication Campaign to Promote Forest Conservation and Introduce MinFor Project

The BaiAni Foundation has started the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign to introduce the Mindanao Forest for People and Sustainable Livelihoods or MinFor Project and promote forest conservation in its project area. The Community Conservation Officers of the foundation have been visiting various barangays, sitios, and schools to raise awareness about the project and its significance.

The team has already covered 23 barangays across the Province of Davao Oriental and has reached out to over 2,000 individuals since the start of the campaign in February this year. The MinFor Project aims to conserve the forest cover in the project area and promote sustainable forest management practices, thereby increasing the capacities of the communities.

The IEC campaign is an essential step towards building community support and engagement for the project. By creating awareness about the project's objectives and benefits, the foundation hopes to encourage community participation in forest conservation efforts. Such initiatives are crucial for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project and achieving its goals.

Overall, the BaiAni Foundation's IEC campaign is an excellent example of community-based conservation efforts and underscores the importance of promoting environmental awareness and stewardship among local communities.
